Rita Palmer Day

On the last Friday of the holidays RSS had a teacher only day with Rita Palmer. Here are a few things that I took out of the day.

- The Question Matrix
- Groups of 4 work best and it's a good idea to unpack how to work in a group first.
- Movement/Novelty/Reflection I have been trying to make sure my lessons include theses things.
- Get kids moving for reflections, use a different space to learn in, e.g., the library
- Give children more think time
- Writers notebook - Things that annoy you, favourite foods....
- Free writing day
- Divergent Questions
- Different teaching techniques to accelerate learning
- How to ask deeper questions
